A Show

I am currently directing the musical ANNIE to be performed in July with amateur actors from a small city in Portugal called Chaves. The entire process from text translation to casting to rehearsals to set construction and so on has been, let's say: an experience. The cast consists of more or less 30 actors. These actors have never had any formal training. I believe that there are only 2 members of the cast who are actually taking voice lessons, a handful of others have had (or are currently taking) dance lessons and a number of others play an instrument. In regards to acting itself, none have had any training which has made it a challenge and an adventure trying to direct and teach.
